Our Operations
Endocrine Oncology is a ward within the hematology and oncology operational area located in the 100 building. The ward currently has 17 patient beds on weekdays and 12 beds on weekends. With us, you will have varied work where you combine nursing care with some acute care that may arise in connection with treatments. The ward has close collaboration with other wards/clinics within our operational area. Endocrine Oncology is a ward within the hematology and oncology operational area located in the 100 building.
Some of the most common oncological endocrinological diagnoses are neuroendocrine tumors (NET), neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC), and thyroid cancer. These are treated with targeted radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy/immunotherapy. The most common oncological diagnosis with us is lymphoma, where our specialty is CAR-T treatment – a treatment where the patient's own T-cells are genetically modified to attack cancer. We strive for continuous development and are part of highly specialized cancer care. With us, you will work with medical technology including central and peripheral infusions, chemotherapy, and immunotherapies. Here you will work in an environment with high nurse density, experienced physicians, and nursing assistants. We work together as a team.
Your Assignment
You will work together in a care team with a nursing assistant where you are responsible for patient care. It is exciting work where you meet people at many different stages of their illness. We work primarily with diagnosis and treatment. In diagnosing a patient, the work largely consists of medical history, clinical assessment, blood sampling, and preparations for examinations. We manage central infusions and frequently insert peripheral infusions. We have many patients coming from other parts of Sweden as well as Europe. Our treatment patients come regularly for infusion treatments such as chemotherapy/immunotherapy, and as a nurse, you focus on monitoring and medical technology. Specific to 100A is that we also provide various forms of targeted radiation therapy as well as advanced oncological treatment with CAR-T. You will also become part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while working independently.
Your Qualifications
You are a licensed registered nurse. You may be completely new to the profession or have worked as a nurse for an extended period.

What We Offer
We offer a permanent position with service degree and start date by agreement. A trial period may be applied. Selection is ongoing. Working hours are on a rotating schedule.
• 4 to 5 weeks of introduction with an experienced nurse and regular check-ins with supervisor/manager
• Placement at other units within our operations
• Internal lectures and scheduled training sessions
• Patient-free days where you can, for example, focus on working with your areas of responsibility
• A clinical development year (KUÅ) (20% of your working time) is included for all newly graduated nurses, where you can deepen your knowledge
• Opportunity to participate in the cancer care academy, which is our development program that leads to paid specialist education
