The adult unit comprises eight different work areas and functions where two full-time employees focused on adults are included. In total, the unit consists of 19 employees and a unit manager. Job Description A social secretary in adult authority is responsible for the handling and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Act on Care of Substance Abusers in Special Cases. The target group is adults over 18 years of age with support and intervention needs for varying reasons. This may involve substance abuse issues, domestic violence and honor-related violence, or mental health problems. It may also concern persons with housing-related social issues. By utilizing the individual's own motivation, you encourage change, provide support and guidance. Central to our work is that we always maintain a child perspective. About the Business Support Department As an Academic Advisor at the School of Applied IT, you will be part of the Business Support Department, which is responsible for personnel, finance, research and study administration, academic advising, and communications. The department consists of 11 people, including two academic advisors, and is led by an administrative director. The School of Applied Information Technology has been part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering since the beginning of 2025, and the school is in an exciting development phase regarding process and procedure optimization.
