As a Duty Officer (VB), you are responsible for overall operational command in the rescue command system, primarily in the role of operations manager. You lead the work around the clock, prioritize resources, and make decisions based on the current situation assessment on behalf of the Duty Rescue Chief (VRC). 3 position(s). DUTIES The work includes, among other things: • Lead and coordinate operations during both normal and high-load situations • Analyze the external environment and risk picture as a basis for decisions • Contribute to effective and safe operations by applying knowledge of current legislation and support risk assessments at the incident scene • Cooperate with other authorities and actors • You will work in an environment where the pace is sometimes high and conditions change rapidly. You will work in various roles within overall management according to the Unified Command System (ELS), and can when needed serve as incident commander or in a staff function. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with an operational background in the rescue service and experience leading in various contexts. You need to have the competence required to serve as an incident commander. You have completed one of the training programs that form the basis for the role, such as Command Course Incident Commander (Lk2a), fire engineering education with RUB, or Rescue Command B, or older education that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous to have further training LK3 as duty officer/duty rescue chief and experience working in overall management or in a command staff.
