Our main responsibility is to manage the collection and treatment of household waste. We are a politically governed organization with representatives from member municipalities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We need to strengthen our organization with service of our recycling centers in the western area (Vara and surrounding region) through mechanic services, welding, and various repairs alongside recycling work. The work consists of half performing various maintenance and the other half meeting our customers to ensure their sorted waste is placed in the correct fraction and maintaining order, cleanliness, and neatness. The work also includes transporting filled containers and reporting statistics. Service work consists of both emergency repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment and certain machines. You will be based at and work from one of our recycling centers. The work schedule may also include evening and weekend shifts. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements for the position: • knowledge of welding and documented training or experience with repairs • ability to communicate well in speech and writing • good computer skills • at least a category B driver's license It is advantageous if you: • have experience working as a mechanic on heavy vehicles • have knowledge of electrical systems, technology, and hydraulics • have a forklift, loader, or category C driver's license • speak languages other than Swedish fluently, such as English For this role, you must be a service-oriented person who enjoys meeting people in your work.
