Job Description As a prison and probation legal counsel, one of your main tasks will be to handle and make decisions in review cases where initial decisions have been made by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's local facilities, including prisons and remand centers. You will also participate in work to coordinate and develop practices in prison and probation legal matters and be responsible for daily legal advice to local and regional levels. You represent the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in court proceedings concerning client decisions. You may also handle cases regarding compensation for damages. Your work also includes educating other employees within the authority, developing proposals for statements in oversight matters, participating in legal follow-up of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's operations, and responding to internal referrals and participating in various operational development projects.
