The team you will join currently consists of 18 employees in both electrical and mechanical engineering. Together, you are responsible for, among other things, encapsulating electronics in Mycronic's machines, developing mechanical designs, and the systems and tools used in hardware development. In addition to your immediate team, you will also collaborate with other R&D teams in areas such as electronics and software, as well as project managers, procurement, and production. Responsibilities You will work in a broad mechanical design role with a focus on both new development and maintenance of existing designs in Mycronic's Pattern Generator products. Your responsibility will be to understand the mechanics, develop new or improve existing mechanical functions, and contribute to solutions that enable the entire systems to perform at the highest level, become more robust, or more cost-effective. In addition to improving and further developing our products, you will also have the opportunity to work on continuous improvements to our processes and how we collaborate together. Over time, you will take ownership of the design of the loader for Mycronic's pattern writer – an input system used to feed mask plates into the machine, in both manual and automated solutions. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and improvement suggestions, and put your mark on the design and continued development work. Key Responsibilities: Design of mechanical parts and functions in Pattern Generator products. Verification and documentation that the design meets design requirements. Participation in requirement specifications and review of requirements. Participation in project planning and cross-functional project work. Participation in business development work – for example, identifying, proposing, and assisting in implementing improvements in working methods, processes, and tools within the mechanical design area.
