Recreational Leader with Responsibility for Children's Culture, Temporary Position

A day as a Recreational Leader with Responsibility for Children's Culture and Creative School Having this recreational leader position means no two days are the same, and if you enjoy that, this work will be truly interesting and exciting. You will be responsible for administration and coordination of the municipality's work with Creative School, as well as planning and coordinating children's cultural performances for the municipality's schools and preschools. The assignment includes collaboration with cultural practitioners, schools and preschools with the goal of giving children and young people the opportunity to encounter professional culture. In Krokom Municipality, we have youth centers at four locations: Föllinge, Änge, Ås and Krokom, so this role also offers great opportunities to develop our youth club and youth center activities. A couple of evenings per week, the youth club opens for elementary school students, where you create activities with the children, build relationships and capture ideas and needs. At the youth center, you meet high school and gymnasium students in a safe, drug-free and inclusive environment where community, participation and personal development are in focus. Based on the young people's interests, you shape the activities together and get to contribute to creating meaningful leisure time. Certain evenings and weekends, you also participate in the municipality's outreach work. Then you meet young people where they are, for example at events, meeting places and out in the community. This is important work focused on building relationships, creating safety and a preventive perspective, where presence and good adult contact make a difference. In other words, in this role you combine the best of two worlds; you get to work administratively to give our young people access to culture and creativity, while meeting young people directly in their everyday lives each week.
