Project Manager/Contracting Agent with Focus on Outdoor Environments, Temporary Position

We're now seeking a project manager/contracting agent for a temporary position of approximately 10 months where you'll have a key role in driving school facility projects with a focus on outdoor environments. Welcome to us Planning schools for the future is a major and important challenge. The Education Administration's Property Unit is responsible for providing facilities to Stockholm's municipal primary and secondary schools. We offer a dynamic work environment with a focus on children and young people in building the Stockholm of the future. We also work with strategic planning of school expansion throughout Stockholm city. The Property Unit manages approximately 100 school building projects with various property owners, including renovations, schoolyard adaptations, and new schools. Several projects also involve adaptations for the complete evacuation of schools. Project budgets range from 500,000 kronor to 800 million kronor per project. As a project manager with us, you'll be part of a group of 11 project managers, a coordinator, and a group manager. Your role As a project manager and contracting agent, you're responsible for commissioning school facility projects and managing them from pre-study through completion. You manage and oversee multiple projects in parallel. As a project manager at the Property Unit, you're responsible for: Being the Education Administration's contracting agent in facility projects. Commissioning and managing projects according to schedule, budget and quality Preparing service statements or other decision-making documents Monitoring schedule and budget, as well as other project documentation Conducting meetings Review of drawings Communication with school operations and the property owner Your competencies and experience We're looking for someone who has: Higher education or post-secondary education relevant to the position Experience in project management and/or project control Experience managing multiple parallel projects simultaneously Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. For this position, it's advantageous if you have: Education in landscape architecture or other academic education that the employer considers equivalent Experience working with preschools' and/or schools' outdoor environments Experience working in a politically governed organization Experience in dialogue work with children and young people We will place great emphasis on personal qualities, suitability, engagement and motivation for the position.
