One of our archivists is moving on to other assignments within the agency, and we are now looking for you—a solution-oriented archivist for the Information Management Unit. Our Operations The Medical Products Agency's archive function is part of the Information Management Unit. The unit is responsible for both operational and strategic case and document management through the archive function and main registry. Today, the archive function is staffed by four people. Your Tasks As an archivist at the Medical Products Agency, you work with comprehensive archive and information management and the agency's systems for preservation of electronic documents. You work strategically to develop governing documents and design the Medical Products Agency's archive reporting, for example the agency's classification structure. You conduct preservation and disposal reviews and work closely with operations by providing training and support on matters related to archives, electronic preservation, and document management. In your work, you create information management plans, process descriptions, and are responsible for archive reporting as well as long-term preservation of the Medical Products Agency's public records, in both digital and analog formats. You work closely with colleagues in the Security Unit on matters such as security protection and information classification. You also participate in various development projects, for example agency-wide case management systems, and collaborate with different parts of the organization. Your Background We are looking for someone with strong knowledge and experience in both digital and physical archive and information management. You have an academic degree in archive and information science or other education that we consider equivalent. You have at least a few years of experience working in public administration in the field of archive and information management and have practical experience informing and training in your area. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You should have an interest in process thinking and the entire information flow within e-government, as well as in change and development work. It is also a merit if you have experience with: working with e-archives and e-government conducting preservation and disposal reviews designing information management plans performing process mapping working with information security working in the Klara archive description system and the process tool VisAlfa.
