Application Engineer in Green Tech
Do you want to work in one of the fastest-growing markets in the green energy transition — and help build the energy systems of the future? Our client is growing rapidly in energy storage and is now seeking an Application Engineer who wants to be part of their expanding technical team in Stockholm. Here you'll work close to real projects, international suppliers, and large-scale battery facilities that enable the expansion of solar and wind power in the Nordic region. About the role: In energy storage, our client operates as an EPC provider (turnkey contractor) — they design, procure, and deliver complete battery installations to customers throughout the Nordic region. You'll be part of an application engineering team and work broadly with the technology behind large-scale energy storage. You thrive in a dynamic environment with high pace where you want to learn quickly and take responsibility. You enjoy the variety between technology, projects, and collaboration. This is not a heavily process-driven industrial environment — the position suits you if you like building something new. Mechanical Design Engineer with Product Responsibility
Work with mechanical design in a high-performance environment where precision, quality, and performance are critical. Products are developed for demanding environments within the motor industry, where technical decisions have a direct impact on the final product's function, feel, and reliability. About the Role You will become part of an R&D team where advanced mechanical design, product development, and technical problem-solving are at the center. Here, premium products are developed with high demands on function, lifespan, quality, and performance. It's an environment where technical decisions directly impact the final product and where designs need to perform under real-world conditions. As a mechanical design engineer, you will work on several parallel development projects and take responsibility for a product or part of a system. You'll be involved from early concepts and design solutions through testing, production preparation, and series production. The role involves more than creating designs in CAD – you gain clear technical ownership and follow solutions all the way into reality. An important part of the role is driving your area forward. This means planning and prioritizing technical activities, coordinating work with functions such as production, testing, quality, procurement, and suppliers, as well as ensuring the solution meets the right level in terms of performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability. You will both further develop existing products and be involved in developing new solutions and platforms. Here you get to work close to the final product, close to technical decisions, and close to colleagues with high expertise in their fields. The role suits you if you want to take greater technical responsibility and develop further in an environment with high technical standards, strong product pride, and a short distance between idea, design, testing, and production. In the long term, there are good opportunities to develop further, either toward a more specialist role, product responsibility, or broader technical leadership. Responsibilities In the role you will, among other things: Take responsibility for a product, component group, or subsystem within mechanical design and product development Work with mechanical design in CAD, from concept to finished product Drive technical solutions forward through planning, prioritization, and coordination Ensure the design meets requirements for function, quality, cost, and manufacturability Work with DFM/DFA, requirements management, risk analyses, and test strategies Contribute to verification, production preparation, and industrialization Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, production, testing, quality, procurement, and suppliers Follow up on technical solutions and contribute to improvements throughout the product's lifecycle We Are Looking for You With Civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, or equivalent field Several years of experience with mechanical design and product development Good understanding of how design, manufacturing, and the final product relate to each other Experience working with products or subsystems that have gone from development to production, preferably in larger volumes Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is a merit if you have experience with DFM/DFA, requirements management, risk analyses, DFMEA, verification, or industrialization. It is also an advantage if you have worked close to production, testing, quality, procurement, or suppliers in previous roles. As a person, you thrive in a role where you can take responsibility for the whole and not just your own delivery. You are curious, thorough, and solution-oriented, while also having the ability to drive work forward even when conditions change. You take initiative, step up when needed, and are motivated by seeing the result of your work in a finished product. You move naturally between details and the big picture, and have an easy time collaborating with different functions around the product. You are unpretentious, communicative, and confident in influencing others to move forward. With a pragmatic working style, you use processes when they create value, but don't let them stand in the way of progress. About the Employment This is a direct recruitment, which means Friday handles and is responsible for the recruitment process, but you will be employed directly by our client.
