ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an IT Security Engineer, you will be part of a team working to develop and strengthen security in technical systems. You will work closely with developers, systems engineers, and other technical functions, contributing to building systems with strong security from the start.
In this role, you will work practically with Linux-based environments, focusing on system hardening, scripting, and secure system design. You will analyze security risks, implement improvements, and contribute to making systems robust and resilient. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on hardening Linux-based systems
Write scripts for automation and configuration
Participate in design of secure system solutions
Identify and manage security risks and vulnerabilities
Document system design, technical solutions, and security requirements
Collaborate closely with developers, systems engineers, and other technical teams
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
Have an engineering degree, such as a higher technical degree or a master's degree in engineering, or equivalent work experience
Have several years of experience with Linux in a technical role
Have experience writing scripts, for example in Bash or Python
Have worked with system hardening, IT security, or secure system development
Have an understanding of how software is built and works, preferably through experience in systems or software development
Have experience with technical documentation related to system design and requirements
Speak and write fluent Swedish and English as both languages are used in the role
It is a merit if you have experience with:
Jenkins or similar tools
Virtualization
Security standards such as CIS, NIST, or similar frameworks
Penetration testing or vulnerability scanning
Defense or security industry
