The unit's collective responsibilities include emptying paper bins, litter collection, weed removal, street sweeping, trimming of bushes and trees, and planting. We are now hiring a Sensory Analyst & Panel Technician at BAT in Malmö. In this varied role, you combine practical support in the daily operation of sensory panels (40%) with planning, conducting, and analyzing sensory studies together with Sensory Scientists (50%). The remaining 10% of the role focuses on identifying opportunities to develop sensory operations through AI and digitalization. You will work on-site in Malmö while collaborating with a global sensory team on projects with colleagues around the world. This is a long-term full-time consultant position via Adecco with a desired start date of September 1. Your Responsibilities As a Sensory Analyst & Panel Technician, you will work with both the operational and analytical aspects of sensory research. Your main responsibilities are to: Support the daily operation of multiple sensory panels by preparing samples, communicating with panel participants, leading panel sessions and training, and managing administrative and data-related tasks. Drive sensory projects from start to finish together with Sensory Scientists, from planning and sample coordination to implementation and reporting. Design experimental designs (DOE), program questionnaires, and ensure that studies are conducted according to approved protocols and timelines. Analyze and interpret sensory data, produce reports, and communicate results and insights to internal stakeholders. Manage a large influx of test requests and coordinate planning based on business priorities and operational requirements. Build a deep understanding of the company's product categories to identify trends and provide valuable insights across projects. Support the implementation of AI, digital tools, and continuous improvements to standardize and develop sensory operations. Who Are You? To succeed in this role, you are organized, meticulous, and enjoy combining practical laboratory work with analytical tasks. You work systematically, can handle multiple projects in parallel, and easily adapt to changing priorities. You enjoy working with statistical analysis, questionnaire programming, and turning data into meaningful insights. You are also communicative and have a talent for building professional relationships with both internal stakeholders and more than 50 panel participants. You are motivated by driving projects from start to finish and have an interest in continuous improvement. You have an eye for detail and enjoy identifying opportunities to standardize processes and develop new ways of working together with colleagues in Sweden and globally. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: A bachelor's degree in sensory science, food science, statistics, market research, or another relevant field. Very good English skills, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Copilot. It is a plus if you have: Experience designing and conducting sensory studies, consumer surveys, or clinical studies. Experience with questionnaire programming or basic programming. Experience with statistical analysis and reporting. Good knowledge of Swedish. Practical Information Long-term full-time consultant position via Adecco placed at BAT in Malmö. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:30–17:30 during periods when panels are conducted and 09:00–17:00 on other days.
