The Property Management Unit is responsible for managing and developing Malmö city's properties for schools, preschools, social housing, offices and facilities, as well as culture and recreation. We are seeking a strategic and development-oriented Chief Financial Officer who, through strong financial management and close leadership, wants to contribute to a safer society! Räddningstjänsten Syd is the rescue service for the municipalities of Burlöv, Eslöv, Kävlinge, Lund, Malmö, and Svedala. As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead and develop the federation's financial operations and contribute to strategic decisions for the organization's long-term development. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Your immediate supervisor is the Federation Director, and you will be part of the federation's management where you contribute to Räddningstjänsten Syd's overall development and long-term direction. In this role, you will be a strategic support and provide analyses, financial decision-making materials, and advice on matters related to operational development. The assignment includes responsibility for budget, accounting, financial management, financing, and capital management. You are responsible for financial decision-making materials and will present financial matters to the Federation Director, management, and other relevant forums. The role also includes contact with the audit function and responsibility for parts of internal control. You will drive the development of the finance function's processes and working methods and ensure high quality in financial work. The role requires that you can communicate and create understanding for financial matters in a pedagogical way, both verbally and in writing. You will represent Räddningstjänsten Syd in external contexts and develop relationships with member municipalities and other actors in the rescue service sector. You will also contribute to professional networks. Räddningstjänsten Syd is a municipal federation and is a separate legal entity. Cooperation with member municipalities is an important success factor. The federation is financed primarily through membership fees, but also through revenues from activities such as supervisory work and service sales. The budget for 2026 amounts to approximately 460 million SEK, and equity to approximately 40 million SEK. The federation prepares its own interim reports and annual reports. QUALIFICATIONS You have an academic degree in economics, several years of experience in qualified financial work, and experience with budget, accounting, and year-end closing work. You have worked in the public sector and have experience with or training in leadership. You have good knowledge of Swedish and communicate easily, both verbally and in writing.
