Currently, the prison has 173 places for male inmates in security class 2, managed by approximately 300 employees and 10 managers who oversee, lead, and develop operations. When the remand facility opens, there will be 56 places for remand prisoners and 101 prison places for men. Job Description As a correctional officer, you work in a team with other professions to maintain a safe and secure facility and motivate clients toward a life without crime. The role of correctional officer involves a structured and routine-based approach with risk assessment and security awareness as focus areas. Your daily work includes locking and unlocking residential units, inspections of premises, and supervision, as well as conducting conversations and preparing inmates for release.
