Nurse at Orthopedic Clinic in Malmö

The Orthopedic Operations Area (VO) at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) has over 500 employees and we are one of Sweden's largest orthopedic operations. Our operations are conducted in both Lund and Malmö. Each year we receive over 85,000 visits at our clinics and have approximately 6,700 inpatients. Our patient group includes both children and adults. The Orthopedic Clinic in Malmö is sectioned so that the teams for shoulder, foot, sports medicine, spine, trauma, and osteoporosis have their primary operations based in Malmö. Approximately 600 visits are conducted each week at the Malmö clinic. Patients come to the clinic for new visits (assessment/investigation) and follow-up visits, for example after a previous operation. We work in teams around the patient to provide the best possible care. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a nurse with an interest in orthopedics who wants to work with these patients. With us you will get varied and developmental clinic work within highly specialized orthopedics. A central part of the role is surgical planning and preoperative preparation, where you inform, prepare, and coordinate for surgery. You work closely with doctors, nursing assistants, surgical coordinators, day care, and care units and play an important role in creating a safe and efficient patient flow. You handle patient advice via phone and 1177, provide support before and after surgery, and handle acute matters. You are an important contact for patients and relatives throughout the care process at the orthopedic clinic. The work is independent but takes place in close collaboration with other nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and doctors. Clinical Genetics and Pathology is an operational area (VO) within the Medical Service administration, Labmedicine division in Region Skåne, and conducts operations at four locations: Malmö, Lund, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad with a shared operational manager. Within the operational area, we are responsible for, among other things, analysis and diagnostics in pathology and cytology. We provide histopathological, cytological, and molecular pathological services to private physicians, health centers, local hospitals, emergency hospitals, and Skåne's university healthcare (Sus), and assist with specialized expertise and consultation services within the southern healthcare region. WORK TASKS We are now seeking an engaged laboratory assistant for Clinical Pathology in Malmö for a temporary position! As a laboratory assistant with us, you work with sample receipt, unpacking, and sorting of incoming samples. Your work tasks also include operating laboratory instruments, managing the washing room, and contributing to the laboratory's routines and workflows running smoothly and efficiently. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who are a laboratory assistant and have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We consider it meritorious if you have worked in a laboratory or have some form of laboratory experience.
