The unit operates in high alpine terrain and currently flies the Hkp14 but will be reequipped with the Hkp16 in the coming years. About the Position As a Mission Specialist (US) in flight operations, you are part of a helicopter crew. The Flight Commander is your direct supervisor and the crew is your primary work group. A crew typically consists of two pilots, a Flight Service Technician (TIF), and one US. Together you solve tasks of varying difficulty around the clock, year-round. During flight, you have an important role in completing the mission, and flight operations will be your primary responsibility. A crew works together until all tasks are completed. Upon employment as GSS/K, you may become eligible after several years to continue studies to become a specialist officer. Main Responsibilities Together with the crew, support the commander in planning flight operations. Assist in preparing the helicopter and restoring mission equipment after use. As part of a crew, conduct flying operations, both for training and on assigned missions. Responsible for mission equipment, such as sniper rifles, machine guns, medical equipment.
