The Assistive Device Consultants manage the region's combined expertise in assistive device prescriptions and assistive device matters. We are now seeking an assistive device consultant within the mobility area for adults who wants to contribute to ensuring that people with functional disabilities receive an individual needs assessment and assistive devices prescribed in line with assistive device policy. We are looking for We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with a strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. You should have knowledge of assistive device prescription, patient safety, and working according to guidelines/procedures. You should also have experience in assistive device prescription and clinical work within rehabilitation, habilitation, primary care, or other relevant activities. A class B driver's license is required for the position. It is an advantage to have a master's degree or other further education relevant to the assistive device field, rehabilitation, habilitation, or the prescription process. Previous experience and knowledge of medical technology products, procurement/assortment work, training initiatives, or work with digital information and support systems is preferred. It is desirable if you also have experience with mobility aids for adults, a consultative approach, collaboration with municipalities/region, and working with complex patient cases. We are looking for you who are independent, take responsibility for your work, and drive tasks forward in a structured manner. You have good problem-solving abilities and can analyze situations and find practical and sustainable solutions. You also have good collaboration skills and build trusting relationships with colleagues and partners. You also have pedagogical insight and can adapt your communication based on target audience and situation. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. What you will work with As an assistive device consultant within the mobility area, you will work to support the region's and municipalities' assistive device prescribers in the prescription process for adults. Prescriber support includes providing advice, information, and training, as well as proposing solutions for assistive device prescriptions. You will be consulted in both simpler and more complex patient cases and can participate in assessments together with prescribers and patients when needed. The work involves assessing needs based on functional limitations, activity and participation, and environmental factors, while considering guidelines, patient safety, evidence, and proven experience. The assignment also includes participating in work with guidelines, procedures, information, and training materials, as well as collaborating with the Assistive Device Operations, municipalities, and other actors. You can also participate in procurement and assortment work within your product area. The position is regional in scope and involves travel as part of the work.
