IT Support Technician at PTS

Are you a service-oriented problem solver who enjoys helping others and solving IT challenges? As an IT Support Technician with us, you'll become a key person in making everyday work function smoothly for our employees. We're looking for someone who is unpretentious, collaboration-focused, and thrives in a role where both technology and people are in focus. We work with what everyone takes for granted. The ability to communicate. With us, you'll ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone. The Business Development Department currently consists of three IT units responsible for operations, administration, systems, business, and process development. We work with both custom-developed solutions and standard systems, and we're responsible for PTS's IT systems, websites, and e-services, as well as supporting the agency in streamlining and developing our work methods. During the year, several new system implementations will take place, while a new organization will be formed to take effect at the turn of the year 2026/27 when a merger with Digg occurs. The new agency will mean a doubling of the total number of employees working with IT. In connection with this, both the role and organizational unit may change somewhat. "My name is Johan Palén, and I will be your manager. For me, it's important to build strong collaborations, create trust, and contribute to a positive and inclusive atmosphere. My leadership is characterized by attentiveness, commitment, and clear accountability through delegation. I'm motivated by developing and improving operations and by seeing engaged employees and colleagues collaborate, thrive, and achieve good results together." About the Role As an IT Support Technician, you work closely with the business and provide end-user support on IT-related questions and problems. You're often the first point of contact for employees and have an important role in ensuring the digital workplace functions effectively, securely, and accessibly. In your work, you handle incoming tickets via a ticketing system, where you prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve problems in the client environment, such as computers, mobile phones, and printers. You also work with accounts, permissions, and access according to current security procedures, and you're responsible for the installation and configuration of both hardware and software. Additional responsibilities include lifecycle management of computers and mobile phones, as well as procurement and ordering of IT equipment. You document solutions and contribute to developing our knowledge database and self-service options. In this role, you're also involved in ensuring compliance with security requirements, data protection regulations, and internal governance documents. With many contact points, the role demands a service-oriented mindset, good collaboration skills, and a solution-focused approach, where you contribute to maintaining a high service level in the organization. About You We're looking for someone who is collaboration-oriented and unpretentious, with the ability to leverage others' expertise and contribute to an open and inclusive work environment. You have a considerate approach, are attentive, and find it easy to put yourself in others' situations. Furthermore, you work in a structured and methodical manner, with a strong ability to plan, organize, and complete your work within given timeframes. As a person, you're solution-oriented, with good prioritization skills and the ability to quickly analyze problems and find effective solutions. We're looking for someone with: Post-secondary education focused on IT or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. At least two years of experience in IT support or a service desk. Basic knowledge of Windows, client management, and networking. Experience with M365, administration in Active Directory, Exchange, and EntraID, and modern collaboration tools. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It's also advantageous if you have: Understanding of information security and access control. Knowledge of Intune for administering computers and phones. Experience with packaging and updates via System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Experience working with the operation and management of PC clients and networks. Knowledge of ITIL, FITSM, or other process models for service management. What We Offer We take life seriously. With us, you can have a life both at and outside of work. When you're doing well, we're doing well. That's why we offer competitive salaries, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely. We also provide a generous wellness allowance and two wellness hours every week. Additionally, you'll receive favorable terms for lunch, vacation, parental leave, pension, and sick leave. You'll be working in modern activity-based offices at Hälsingegatan 38. As a state agency, we offer a safe and stable work environment where you can feel secure. We're creating tomorrow's society and must stay at the forefront. With us, you'll grow with new challenges all the time. Good to Know This is a permanent position with an initial probationary period of six months. Located in Sundsvall with a start as soon as possible according to agreement. Your job title will be IT Technician. To enable us to make a fair and objective assessment of your competence, we ask that you not include a photo, personal identification number, or address in your CV.
