Bergsjö School is a grades F–9 school with approximately 450 students. The Adapted Primary School grades 1–10 also operates in the same facilities. Economist
About Us The Economist position is centrally located within the Finance and Development Unit, which is part of the administrative staff. In addition to finance and procurement, the unit's mission includes overall responsibility for the municipality's strategic business development, safety and public health, IT and digitalization, and emergency preparedness coordination. The unit currently consists of 14 employees and reports directly to the Municipal Executive Board Administration. Your Assignment Your main responsibilities will include providing support to our operations, primarily to the Care and Support Services. You will work on preparing budget documentation, conducting ongoing follow-ups and forecasts, and preparing materials for interim and annual reports for the units you work with. You will support managers with economic analyses and development matters, and you are expected to be able to conduct presentations. The role also includes certain accounting work and routine tasks at the central finance office. The work involves largely providing service to the municipality's operations, and you actively work to support other economists and managers in their assignments. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic degree or equivalent relevant education in economics and accounting. You have several years of professional experience in an economist role within accounting. Additionally, you have a desire to broaden your knowledge. Meritorious It is an advantage if you have experience with finance work in a politically governed organization, preferably within municipal operations. Personal Qualities You are innovative, analytical, and want to drive development work. You are also pedagogical and communicate well in dialogue, with a strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with economists, managers, and non-economists.
