Care Unit Manager for the Palliative Unit Hälsingland
The oncology business area provides specialized care and treatment for patients with diagnosed cancer in Region Gävleborg. We have outpatient clinics, a clinical trial unit, day care, radiation therapy, PICC-line clinic, inpatient ward, and a palliative care unit. In total, we have approximately 150 employees. The palliative unit is led through shared and closely collaborative leadership, where two care unit managers jointly oversee the entire operation. We have an experienced care unit manager responsible for Gästrikland, and in this recruitment we are looking for you to take responsibility for Hälsingland. Together, you will create stability, direction, and favorable conditions for an operation where presence, collaboration, and warm professional care are essential. The unit in Hälsingland consists of three teams in Hudiksvall, Bollnäs, and Söderhamn and offers specialized palliative care to patients with cancer, ALS, and other life-threatening conditions. The teams work interdisciplinarily with doctors, nurses, social workers, and representatives from the hospital church, and maintain close collaboration with municipal home care services. In total, the unit comprises approximately 11 employees in Hälsingland plus medical secretaries who are organizationally based in Gävle. We have 17 dedicated social workers, two team leaders, two administrators and a unit manager.
