I am generally a cheerful and active person who wants to do most things I enjoy as long as I have the energy and stamina for it. I can stand to some extent with the help of mobility aids, and I have all the equipment I need, including a wheelchair, Permobil, transfer board, shower chair, walking frame, and lift. I have my own car that I can drive myself, and I also have access to a paratransit service. I have FSHD (facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy) in its more severe form. FSHD affects virtually all the muscles in the body to varying degrees, weakens over time, and causes chronic pain. I also become mentally fatigued easily due to living with the physical conditions and limitations the disease presents. I am looking for assistants willing to work daytime hours from 07:00 to 17:30, primarily Monday through Friday, though requests for weekend work may arise.
