Nanny for 5-Year-Old Boy in Vasastan – Active and Engaged Nanny Wanted

Ref. 4296V A family in Vasastan is seeking a reliable, active, and engaged nanny for their soon-to-be 5-year-old son. The position is approximately 50% and the family is looking for a nanny who wants to become an important and trusted person in their son's daily life. Start as soon as possible. The son is a happy, charming, and adventurous boy with lots of personality. He is 100% non-verbal and has a low level of understanding, which means he doesn't always comprehend verbal instructions the way one might expect from a child his age. He has autism and will also be evaluated for ADHD this fall. The family emphasizes that the person working with him should not only see his diagnoses but see the boy he is – stubborn, determined, charming, curious, and full of energy. The son has a very high need for movement and is extremely active. For example, he rarely sits still while eating and moves constantly between different activities. He loves to sing, dance, play around, be tickled and carried, and he enjoys bathing very much. He is adventurous for better and worse and is very quick in his movements and turns. He is prone to running away and can suddenly sprint off, which means you can never take your eyes off him. It is therefore important that you are a person who enjoys being active with a child and who has no problem being on the floor a lot, getting up, and keeping pace with his tempo. The family is looking for a nanny who is physical, playful, and present. The current nanny spends a lot of time outside with him, and it is important that the new person also enjoys doing activities and getting out. At the same time, you need to be very attentive and always be one step ahead because he has no sense of consequences and can act quickly and impulsively. Part of the work will also involve following exercises and strategies that the family receives from a child psychologist or Autism Center. You don't need previous knowledge of autism or special education, but it is important that you are curious, interested, and willing to learn. The current nanny, for example, attends appointments with the child psychologist to learn how best to support the son in his daily life. The son also has sleep difficulties and can be awake for several hours on some nights. During an overnight stay, for example, he might be awake between 1:00 AM–5:00 AM, and then the nanny needs to be prepared to be up with him. The family may also need help with VAB (vård av barn – parental leave for child care) when the son sometimes needs to stay home from preschool. It's not necessarily because he is sick, but because he sometimes needs a break from preschool and its many stimuli. The family has also noticed that he sleeps better in the summer when he is away from preschool, and going forward, more time with the nanny and less time at preschool may become relevant. Work Hours The position is approximately 50%, with great flexibility. The family has a shared calendar where they enter their needs, and the nanny then enters when she can and wants to work. The work will mainly consist of: Weekend shifts: Saturday 5:00 PM to Sunday 11:00 AM, including overnight stay. Not every weekend, approximately every other weekend. One weekday night: approximately 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM/9:00 AM, including drop-off at preschool in the morning. VAB and extra time may occur as needed. Travel with the family may occur, and since the son turns 5 in October, travel could become relevant at any time during the year. The family currently has a nanny who works every other weekend and is therefore looking for an additional person to complement this arrangement. The position is primarily focused on the son and his needs. It may also include simple meal preparation as well as tidying up after his activities and helping to restore the kitchen after dinner when possible, especially after the son has fallen asleep. This is a position for you who really enjoy working closely with a child, who have lots of energy, and who want to be active, playful, and engaged. You need to be reliable, attentive, and responsible, but also able to appreciate all the fun and charm that the family's son has to offer. The family has no large social network to help and is therefore looking for a nanny who can become a reliable and important part of their daily life. Position: Approximately 50% Salary: 180–220 kr/hour depending on experience Start: ASAP Location: Vasastan, Stockholm Employment: The family employs the nanny directly Travel: Yes, may occur Desired Profile: Active, physical, playful, reliable, responsible, and genuinely interested in working with children with special needs. Interviews take place continuously during the application period. About Nordic Light Nannies: We are now looking for a new team member who wants nanny work as a profession. We work with families who have high standards for quality when choosing a nanny. Most of our positions are at least half-time, and we think it's very important that the nanny also gets along well with the family. Therefore, we take your preferences very seriously when we present families to you. We offer Sweden's best conditions for nannies, including sick pay and vacation compensation. Salaries are determined individually depending on experience and education and are comparable to preschool teacher salaries in Stockholm. Minimum salary 150 kr/hour. We can offer higher salaries up to 210 kr/hour for nannies with extensive experience and/or pedagogical education. Fixed monthly salaries occur in certain positions. Read more at https://nordiclightnannies.se/lediga-tjanster/ Do you have knowledge and experience in child development? Do you enjoy playing and doing different things indoors and outdoors? Then this is the right job for you! Do you have: At least three years of experience in professional work with children (certificate/documentation and references required) or equivalent competence? An interest in working with children and their development? Nanny for a 16-month-old boy, Monday to Wednesday, possibly Thursday 3–6 PM, Tyresö

Ref. 4291T A family in Tyresö is looking for a caring, warm, and engaged nanny who wants to become an important part of their son's daily life. The family lives in a villa in a calm and pleasant area with good public transportation – the bus stops right outside the house. The father is Finnish but speaks Swedish fluently and speaks Finnish with his son. The home is therefore bilingual, and the son is growing up with both Swedish and Finnish. The son is 15 months old and is described as an early, curious, and active little boy with lots of energy. He is clear in his communication, understands most of what is said to him, and has a vocabulary of approximately 15–20 words. He understands both Swedish and Finnish. He loves everything related to the kitchen and cooking – he happily sits in a carrier and joins in when dad cooks. Kitchen utensils are exciting and fun to explore. Nanny for 2 Children, Ages 6 Months and 2.5 Years, Wednesday-Friday 2-7 PM, Saltsjö-Boo

Ref. 4284E The family is seeking an experienced and confident nanny who will not only support them in daily childcare but also be a companion for the mother, who is often alone at home during the day. It is important that personalities click and there is mutual "chemistry," as the relationship should be built on trust, presence, and collaboration in everyday life. The family lives in Saltsjö-Boo. The position involves approximately 15 hours per week, primarily Wednesday through Friday, with the possibility of longer days depending on the preschool schedule or additional family needs. Responsibilities include picking up the daughter from preschool, either on foot, by bus, or by the family's car if needed (for example, in rainy weather). Walks sometimes include the family dog, an allergy-friendly Maltese. The main focus of the role is to support the mother in daily life, especially since the father works a lot and is rarely home. Beyond childcare, the mother would like help with everyday household tasks. The idea is that the nanny does the same things the mother would do at home, as much as possible. This mainly involves tidying up, maintaining order, and doing light cleaning. If needed, the family can hire cleaning help, but it is a plus if the nanny is comfortable with these tasks. The role also includes preparing dinner for the children and family, or alternatively reheating leftovers, and ensuring the children eat well and have regular meals. Languages that work are Swedish, Finnish, or English, but if English is the primary language, the nanny must also be able to communicate in Swedish. Since the family has no relatives nearby and moved to Sweden four years ago, flexibility is highly appreciated. There is a desire for the nanny to occasionally help on weekends, join shorter trips or weekends, and maintain a regular, recurring "date night" with the family. This role suits someone who wants to become an important part of the family's life and daily routine, and who enjoys a close, long-term, and personal working relationship. The position starts in September 2026. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis during the application period. About Nordic Light Nannies: We are now seeking a new employee who wants to work as a nanny. We work with families who have high quality standards when choosing a nanny.
