Our Assignment: We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant for a consulting engagement with an established company in Stockholm. You will become part of the Tax team within Accounting & Tax and work in close collaboration with accounting, Business Control, Group Tax, and other key functions in the organization. Initially, the assignment is for 4 months with a start in early September. Full-time position (100%) with 3 days per week working from the office. Job Responsibilities: The role involves overall responsibility for tax management and tax reporting with a focus on Nordic operations, while also contributing to group-wide tax matters. Main responsibilities: - Manage tax calculations for operations in Sweden and Norway. - Participate in developing new tax calculations for branches acquired following the AirPlus International merger. - Prepare and submit VAT returns in Sweden and Norway. - Ensure correct tax reporting in monthly and annual financial statements as well as internal and external reporting. - Support tax-related matters throughout project and transaction processes together with the Tax Specialist. - Maintain contact with the Swedish Tax Agency, other authorities, external advisors, and auditors. - Participate in and lead projects related to new regulations, legislative changes, and operational changes. - Identify and implement improvements in processes, internal controls, and reporting. Your Background: We are looking for someone with an academic degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent, plus several years of experience in qualified tax work.
