The Opportunity The High-Power Laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 as an independent testing station and is a member of SATS Certification and STL (Short-circuit Testing Liaison) and we are one of the few unique High-Power Laboratories in the world. The Laboratory is a large test facility for high voltage products with a variety of non-routine electrical and mechanical test procedures. Its main purpose is to perform high quality testing, both in the development of new products, and in certification of the products for the global market. The clients to the Lab come from both Hitachi global organization and external Hitachi companies. Being a part of the Maintenance Team at the High-Power Laboratory is an important and interesting challenge and a key role to keep the Laboratory operation at the forefront. The team, which consists of approximately 5 persons, handles the maintenance support of the full Laboratory plant. The maintenance was insourced January 1, 2025 and is currently in a development stage with new systems, etc. Responsibilities also include new projects and installations, as well as decommissioning of old equipment. The Laboratory has a large electrical installation, rotating machines, pressurized gas facilities and other various systems in the approximately 15,000 m2 large area.
