Your Assignment As a labor market secretary, you work closely with the job seeker by mapping needs, motivating, coaching, and handling cases. The role includes planning, implementing, and following up on individual initiatives that strengthen the individual's conditions for moving toward work or studies. In this assignment, you will work with people who have mental disabilities and wish for employment or to begin studies. You match job seekers to the labor market based on the individual's competencies, conditions, and goals. You introduce and provide follow-up support at the workplace. You regularly follow up on progress and step advancement together with the person and work with preparatory activities as part of the change process. The role includes seeking out and working with employer contacts. The work also involves ongoing documentation and working according to guidelines and procedures regarding current legislation. As a labor market secretary, you collaborate with other units within the labor market department, collaboration partners within the labor market area, and with employers and, if necessary, the individual's other network. An important part of the work is collaborating with psychiatry at both individual and organizational levels. A large part of working time is out in the field where you meet with participants and employers. The work is independent and the hours are flexible as you work when the participant needs your support, which may include evening and weekend work. Your Background We are looking for someone with a university degree in behavioral science, education, or social studies, or alternatively other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have a genuine interest in supporting people in their development toward work and employment, and experience working with people with mental disabilities. The role requires that you can work independently and take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and carrying out tasks based on assignments, goals, and the individual's needs. You have experience in: mapping individuals' situations, resources, and needs coaching, motivating, and supporting people in change processes working with labor market issues and matching to employers collaborating with authorities, healthcare providers, employers, and other relevant actors To succeed in the role, you also need to have: good knowledge of Microsoft 365 Class B driver's license It is meritorious if you have pedagogical education, experience from psychiatry, or knowledge of methods such as IPS (Individual Placement and Support), SEd (Supported Employment), MI (Motivational Interviewing), or other evidence-based approaches within the labor market area.
