Gustavsbergs University Health Center Recruits General Medicine Specialist Gustavsbergs University Health Center is a large and well-functioning primary care center with approximately 35 physicians and approximately 30,000 registered patients located in modern facilities in Gustavsbergs harbor with fantastic views over Farstaviken. We are one of three university health centers in Region Stockholm. Our goal is to create a dynamic environment where healthcare, continuing education, development work, innovation, research, and educational assignments for students are integrated – to make primary care even better for our patients and work within primary care even more rewarding. Gustavsbergs Health Center takes pride in having consolidated large parts of nearby care under one roof including primary care rehabilitation, child health clinics, maternity care, youth clinic, and collaboration with the municipality in caring for children with mental health issues. We take our educational responsibility seriously and mentoring of both students and training physicians is prioritized highly. We value continuity in the patient-physician relationship. We have also implemented a working model called the Gustavsbergs Model where the focus is on continuity, interprofessional collaboration, and improved triage. In addition, we have developed a new approach to caring for our chronically ill patients where we emphasize availability for patients who need us most. We work closely with our reception nurses and registered nurses. The facility also includes a large primary care rehabilitation unit where we conduct what we call acute rehabilitation, where physicians and physiotherapists meet with the patient together. We have child health and maternity clinics including a youth clinic. The health center has good access to psychologists and well-functioning collaboration between physicians and the psychosocial team, as well as regular rounds with open psychiatric care. We continuously develop our working methods and help shape the design of services such as Always Open. Digital contacts are a major and natural part of our operations. The health center has a large home healthcare service that covers large parts of the scenic Värmdö municipality. Home healthcare operates on a team basis with rounds where work is distributed and planned by the responsible nurse. We work closely with Nackageriatrics in a well-functioning collaboration.
