Construction Supervisor / Site Manager

Construction Supervisor / Site Manager – Optical Network Installation (Part-Time), Teplice and Ústí nad Labem region We have been building optical networks in northern Bohemia since 2013 and are looking for someone who can manage construction projects and lead teams on site. You don't need to come from our industry – we'll train you on cable installation. We need someone with years of on-site construction experience who knows how to organize a workday and, if a subcontractor drops out in the morning, won't stop the project but will quickly reorganize the work. What you'll do: - Direct excavation work and cable installation (primarily optical) on construction sites in the Teplice and Ústí nad Labem districts; - Organize daily work for your own crews and subcontractors, quickly reschedule work if a subcontractor fails so the project keeps moving; - Maintain construction logs and photo documentation, monitor schedules, quality, and work safety – all electronically in our internal system, no paperwork; - Arrange traffic signs for excavations, secure site access and road permits, negotiate with municipalities, authorities, and utility providers for permits; - Communicate with the investor and technical supervisor. What we need from you: - Several years of experience managing construction sites or work crews (foreman, site manager, crew leader) – construction background is not required; - Experience with earthwork or engineering projects is a major plus (traffic signage for excavations, site access, city and authority permits); - Reliability, punctuality, independence – ability to manage people and quickly respond to changes; - Category B driver's license – required (daily travel between sites); - Basic computer and phone skills – reporting and documentation are handled electronically; - ČKAIT certification is welcome but not required – we have professional site management covered. What we offer: - Part-time employment, approximately 100–130 hours per month; - 350–450 Kč/hour gross depending on experience (roughly 35,000 – 58,500 Kč per month depending on hours worked); - Honestly: during season (spring through fall) we work full capacity and weekends depending on weather; in winter (December–February) it's quieter – paperwork and project preparation; - Company phone and laptop; company vehicle possible by agreement; - Base facilities always at the current construction site (rented warehouses in the region) – no commuting to a distant headquarters; - Suitable for experienced professionals who no longer want full-time work, including active retirees; - Start immediately or by arrangement.
