JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Do you want to help create wonderful meal experiences for our seniors? We're now looking for a dedicated chef to strengthen the kitchen team at Olsgården care home. As a chef with us, you work together with your colleagues to plan, prepare, and serve delicious and nutritious meals to our residents. Meals are an important part of daily life, and you contribute to creating joy in eating, security, and a positive dining experience. You're responsible for maintaining high quality in the kitchen and ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, food safety procedures, and self-inspection protocols. Together with your colleagues, you'll develop the operation with a focus on quality, service, and the residents' needs. You work until no later than 4:30 PM and work every third weekend on a rolling 6-week schedule. These working hours provide good opportunities for balance between work and leisure. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with at least 3 years of professional experience or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have: • good knowledge of relevant legislation regarding self-inspection and food safety. • experience with special diets and large-scale kitchen production. • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. • good computer skills. We have a politically decided meal policy and we work with a goal-oriented approach. We prepare a lot of food from scratch and aim to increase the proportion of organic food and reduce waste and our climate footprint. We always meet our guests with good service and hospitality. The food service unit currently consists of approximately 30 kitchens with 1-20 employees in each kitchen. We have production kitchens at most preschools and care facilities. There are also 3 larger production kitchens that deliver meals to preschools, schools, and healthcare and care services. In total, we serve approximately 6,000 portions/day. We want to make a positive impact - will you be part of it? 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a cook in the personnel pool, you will fill in for sick leave and vacation time. The work duties can vary greatly depending on which kitchen you will be working in. You may work alone, with all that responsibility entails one day, and in a kitchen with several colleagues the next day. You will work in production kitchens, receiving kitchens, or service kitchens with varying work duties. You will perform all common work tasks in kitchens and restaurants, such as cooking (including special diets), preparing salad buffets, serving different meal types, planning and ordering, self-inspection, dishwashing, and cleaning. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained cook or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have good knowledge of large-scale kitchen production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-inspection, and kitchen economics. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
