About the Operation Now you have the chance to become part of a wonderful team at the BUP clinic in Avesta, a team where everyone is passionate about helping children, young people, and their families. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Dalarna offers specialist care for children and young people up to 18 years of age with serious mental health issues and/or neuropsychiatric functional impairments. Our area of operation is broad and encompasses mental health issues and functional impairments that occur in younger children up to late adolescence. We work in a multidisciplinary manner and collaborate with other stakeholders to provide the best assessments and care for our children and young people. The Avesta clinic is one of 5 outpatient clinics consisting of a psychologist, social workers, nurses, nursing assistant, occupational therapist, secretary, physician, and manager. Job Responsibilities As an occupational therapist at a BUP clinic, you provide support for children at BUP who need assistive devices, help with structuring their daily lives, and establishing good routines for sleep, meals, and school. You help children become more independent and support parents in preventive work, providing both children and parents with information about functional impairments in conditions such as ADHD and autism, individually or in groups. During initial assessment visits, you have the opportunity to meet the child and family and conduct assessments of various psychiatric symptoms and diagnoses, then collaborate with other team members in conducting child psychiatric evaluation and treatment work. Together with you, we will shape this position so that it becomes meaningful, enjoyable, and developmental for you, the team, and our patients. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday-Friday with the possibility of flexible hours if operations permit. Region Dalarna offers a wellness benefit of 2000 kr/year. We are now seeking a support assistant for a temporary position through June 2027. Work Duties As a support assistant, you work closely with participants, assistants, and colleagues, providing individually adapted support based on participants' needs and conditions. The assignment involves creating opportunities for participation, communication, and development in daily activities. The work includes, among other things: Planning, conducting, and evaluating activities based on participants' needs. Providing support in communication and social interaction. Working with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). Documenting in accordance with applicable guidelines.
