Job Duties: Ensuring the execution of state administration in the field of territorial decision-making and building regulations, in particular conducting administrative proceedings regarding the siting, permitting, use, and removal of buildings Required Education: Education requirement pursuant to § 30a of Act No. 283/2021 Coll., Building Act, as amended: • University degree focused on architecture and urban planning, construction, economics, transportation, biology, ecology and environmental protection, forestry and timber industry, earth sciences, or law, or • Specialist secondary school (VOŠ) in construction, geodesy and cartography, general legal activities, public administration activities, or transportation, or • Secondary school with graduation exam in construction, geodesy and real estate cadaster, or public administration activities. • An official who does not meet the qualification requirements may perform building office activities in the building regulations area if it is ensured that until the requirements are met, they perform this activity under the professional supervision of an official who meets the qualification requirements for performing activities in the building regulations area, for a maximum period of 3 years. Job Responsibilities: Management and organization of municipal building authority activities, ensuring state administration in territorial decision-making and building code compliance, particularly conducting administrative proceedings on matters of building placement, permits, use and demolition, methodological guidance of subordinate staff, and responsibility for proper execution of delegated building authority functions. Required Education: Education requirement per § 30a of Act No. 283/2021 Coll., Building Code, as amended: • University degree in architecture and urban planning, construction, economics, transportation, biology, ecology and environmental sciences, forestry and timber science, earth sciences, or law, or • Higher vocational education in construction, geodesy and cartography, general legal activities, public administration activities, or transportation, or • Secondary education with graduation exam in construction, geodesy and real estate cadastre, or public administration activities. • An official who does not meet the qualification requirements may perform building authority activities in the building code section if it is ensured that they perform such activities under expert supervision of an official meeting the qualification requirements for building code work for a maximum of 3 years.
