Main Duties As an anesthesiologist, based on the patient's individual needs and sometimes complex injuries, you will independently and with limited resources perform resuscitation and damage control measures. Placement can be in both the operating room and intensive care. The professional role may include triaging patients in the acute phase. Work can take place under pressured conditions, where the tactical situation is decisive and work environments can be physically challenging. Collaboration within your own unit is always prioritized. Parts of working time may be spent abroad in international military operations or exercises with our allies. You will also participate in training both as a student and instructor, take part in exercises or plan for upcoming operations. The professional role includes military training including combat training in order to be able to protect and defend your own group and patients. The position also includes clinical work as an anesthesiologist with a civilian healthcare provider. Resuscitation according to DATC. Responsible for patient ventilation and fluid balance. Stabilize patient for transport to higher level of care/handover to another unit. Plan for perioperative and postoperative care. Participate in establishing the unit (grouping) and maintenance of equipment. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Licensed physician with specialist certification in anesthesia and intensive care. Knowledge must be current. Experience in trauma management. Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in English and Swedish. Fully healthy and meets the requirements in FMFysS.
