Södervärnskolan is an elementary school in southern Visby serving students in grades 4-9. The school currently has approximately 620 students, with 150 in grades 4-6 and the remainder in grades 7-9. The school also has an after-school program. Södervärnskolan actively works to establish a strong learning environment by creating positive relationships so that students feel comfortable and secure. You will teach grades 4-9 and serve as mentor and class coordinator for a middle school class alongside a colleague. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction based on student needs, documenting student learning progress, and working with other teachers to develop the subject area and school's activities. You will be part of a team jointly responsible for students' academic and social development. About You We seek a candidate with a subject teacher degree in Wood and Metal Crafts and certification to teach grades 4-9. You are a personally mature and self-directed teacher with strong collaboration skills. You are flexible in your approach and have the pedagogical insight needed to guide students.
