We work with the individual's right to independence and self-sufficiency and provide good service with regular client meetings. This requires good knowledge of our various areas, good treatment of our residents, and the ability to conduct matters in a legally secure manner. DUTIES The position involves a combined assignment where you work with intake services by assessing eligibility for financial assistance for new applications, and by processing applications under the Social Services Act (SoL) for persons with social psychiatry needs. Financial Assistance In your role as a social worker in financial assistance, you will mainly work on tasks related to our intake office, which means you receive new applications and investigate basic conditions for financial assistance. You also provide advice, support, and guidance to residents based on housing, social psychiatry, substance abuse and addiction, and intimate partner violence. The role includes recurring contacts with both individual persons and internal and external partner organizations. The role also includes offering basic budget and debt counseling. As Vellinge Municipality strives to become a more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based social service, the role may involve work outside the office environment to a greater extent than traditional government administration. Social Psychiatry In your role as a social worker in social psychiatry, you primarily work with processing applications for services under the Social Services Act (SoL) based on social psychiatry needs. The work involves investigating, assessing, making decisions, and following up on services. Within social psychiatry, services include housing support, care and residential living, and contact persons. In this work, you will have ongoing follow-up with providers of housing support regarding ongoing services. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a social work degree (socionomexamen). You should have at least 1 year of experience in social work with a focus on financial assistance. It is also desirable if you have experience with government administration within social psychiatry, but this is not a requirement. It is a merit if you have: Current experience with government administration in other areas of responsibility within social services Experience working in Lifecare Training in MI Experience with Case Management or similar work models The work requires you to have good computer skills, well-developed administrative ability, and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish. WORK TASKS The position involves a combined assignment where you work with authority functions with both people with substance abuse and people experiencing intimate partner violence (VINR). Since Vellinge Municipality wants to contribute to social services' development to become a more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based social service in line with the New Social Services Act's intentions, your position will also involve treatment work, both based on applications from the individual and on assistance without prior needs assessment (IUB). The position may also include assessments and decisions regarding applications for housing services, as Vellinge Municipality strives for an integrated care chain for people in contact with social services. It is important that you are comfortable working both in an office environment and in a more outreach role. Since the position is located in a department with multiple areas of responsibility, broad knowledge of the different areas is sought, and a sense of collaboration is valued. You collaborate well with colleagues and work toward the department's set goals together with your colleagues and unit manager. If you have extensive and solid experience in authority work, it may also be relevant to work as acting unit manager during the regular unit manager's absence. QUALIFICATIONS Educational requirements: Degree in Social Work (Socionom). We are looking for you who have previous experience in handling substance abuse and/or intimate partner violence. Broad experience in different areas of social services is a merit. It is also a merit if you have: Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) Training in CRA Training in ÅP Training in Craft Training in Conversation about Freedom However, the above training is not a requirement, as Vellinge Municipality has a generous approach to competence development. The work tasks require good organizational and administrative ability, and you should have good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, and be able to prioritize the flow of your position according to need. You should have good ability to keep yourself updated on current legislation. You should be able to work independently and make decisions with high delegation, and collaborate with your colleagues.
