The position is located in the Employment and Integration Department within the Individual and Family Services of Vellinge Municipality. The department has a housing coordinator and social workers who handle subsistence support, social psychiatry services, budget and debt counseling, housing services, family law, intimate partner violence, and substance abuse and addiction, with a total of 11 staff members. Our employees have high expertise in their respective areas, and the team works together, helps each other, and covers for one another as needed. The work team is led by a present unit manager. We work with individuals' right to independence and self-sufficiency and with good service through regular client meetings. This requires good knowledge of our different areas, good conduct toward our citizens, and the ability to handle matters in a legally secure way. We expect you to work with a high degree of independence and have good collaboration skills. WORK TASKS The position involves a combined assignment where you work with authority functions with both people with substance abuse and people experiencing intimate partner violence (VINR). Since Vellinge Municipality wants to contribute to social services' development to become a more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based social service in line with the New Social Services Act's intentions, your position will also involve treatment work, both based on applications from the individual and on assistance without prior needs assessment (IUB). The position may also include assessments and decisions regarding applications for housing services, as Vellinge Municipality strives for an integrated care chain for people in contact with social services. It is important that you are comfortable working both in an office environment and in a more outreach role. Since the position is located in a department with multiple areas of responsibility, broad knowledge of the different areas is sought, and a sense of collaboration is valued. You collaborate well with colleagues and work toward the department's set goals together with your colleagues and unit manager. If you have extensive and solid experience in authority work, it may also be relevant to work as acting unit manager during the regular unit manager's absence. QUALIFICATIONS Educational requirements: Degree in Social Work (Socionom). We are looking for you who have previous experience in handling substance abuse and/or intimate partner violence. Broad experience in different areas of social services is a merit. It is also a merit if you have: Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) Training in CRA Training in ÅP Training in Craft Training in Conversation about Freedom However, the above training is not a requirement, as Vellinge Municipality has a generous approach to competence development. The work tasks require good organizational and administrative ability, and you should have good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, and be able to prioritize the flow of your position according to need. You should have good ability to keep yourself updated on current legislation. You should be able to work independently and make decisions with high delegation, and collaborate with your colleagues.
