Adult Psychiatry Västmanland is divided into two sections – inpatient care and outpatient care – and we are now seeking two engaged unit managers, one for each section. You have your own area of responsibility, but work as a team where you support and cover for each other. Together you create continuity, clarity and unified leadership for the operation. Inpatient care is located in Västerås and includes five care wards and an emergency department. Psychiatric care is provided around the clock for patients requiring inpatient care. Outpatient care operates in Västerås, Köping, Fagersta and Sala and offers specialized psychiatric care and treatment through clinic activities. As a unit manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop the operation together with engaged employees and colleagues, with a focus on creating an accessible, safe and person-centered psychiatric care. We value good collaboration with both internal and external partners. There are employees with extensive expertise in the psychiatric field and a genuine interest in working with people. The work location is Västerås, which offers good opportunities to combine career and family life. Qualifications We are looking for someone with good knowledge of and experience in adult psychiatric operations and an interest in management and leadership. Management training, preferably in Developmental Leadership (UL), is advantageous. It is also advantageous to have knowledge of work environment and systematic work environment efforts as well as experience leading development and improvement work. You have a good ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and a strong interest in psychiatric operations. Within Region Västmanland, we seek leadership that is developmental, present and coaching, where employees' knowledge is utilized and participation, learning and responsibility are encouraged.
