Automation Technician

As an Automation Technician, you'll be a vital part of the team that ensures our facility runs smoothly – every single day. About the role You'll work on service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements to our automated facility, which includes around 600 robots, picking and packing stations, receiving stations, and a full six kilometers of conveyor belts. Beyond day-to-day work, you'll also be involved in projects – such as installing new machines or reconfiguring workstations. Collaborating with other departments is a natural part of everyday work, and your expertise will make you a sought-after colleague. More specifically, the role involves: Performing planned service and maintenance Working on improvements Troubleshooting, restoring, and monitoring systems Handling urgent maintenance tasks Optimizing and managing spare parts Participating in various projects, large and small Our logistics journey We've built one of Europe's most advanced beauty warehouses – with world-class automation and cutting-edge technical solutions. The platform delivers high capacity, low error rates, and stable delivery, even during extreme periods like Black Week. 2020 – We moved into our current facility in Vansbro with offices, warehouse, and an automation system featuring 150 robots, 336,000 storage locations, and a capacity of 20,000 orders per day. In just a few days, we relocated three million products and shipped our first package – thanks to the efforts of over 250 employees. 2021 – We began installing a doubling of our automation and achieved a capacity of 40,000 orders per day that same year – with 700,000 storage locations and 300 robots working around the clock. 2023 – We expanded further with a warehouse hub in Berlin, opened up for third-party logistics (3PL), and began serving B2B customers as well. 2025 – We took the next major step and went live with our new automation solution – LYKO's largest investment ever. An investment of over €43 million that significantly increased our capacity and took our logistics platform to an entirely new level. The next phase of our automation journey Today, our new automation has been operational for over a year. The focus has therefore shifted from installation and commissioning to creating the most stable, efficient, and high-performing facility possible.
