We are seeking an occupational therapist for the Health and Care Unit's rehabilitation team. A Day on the Job As an occupational therapist, you will have an important role with us. You will be instrumental in creating conditions for individuals to live as independently as possible. You will be part of a team around patients, working closely with other health and care professionals and care staff. You will assess individuals' abilities and their need for training and assistive devices. Your work includes prescribing and testing assistive devices. You will provide guidance to care staff within your area of expertise. Your duties include conducting transfer training for care staff. We work with Senior Alert and BPSD, working as a team where all our professions are involved. Your tasks include continuous development and improvement of operations in collaboration with care staff, colleagues, managers, and other personnel. We work from a salutogenic perspective, which means we focus on what maintains health rather than what causes illness. We visit patients at home to assess their assistive device needs and provide device trials. Sometimes we work alone and sometimes in a team with colleagues. We conduct ADL assessments and prepare documents for housing adaptation applications. At the clinic, we work with hand rehabilitation and see both well-assessed patients referred to us and those experiencing pain, where we serve as the first point of contact. We also conduct work capacity assessments. This means we have both clinic visits and home visits, meeting patients individually and in groups. We also make visits together with patients to the assistive device center. Collaboration with other professional categories is a fundamental part of the work. Documentation is recorded in TakeCare. Student supervision is part of the role. Qualifications Licensed occupational therapist with an interest in working within primary care. Further education and experience are advantageous. A valid driver's license is required. The position may suit both experienced professionals and those new to the profession. We have a well-established mentorship program to ensure the best possible introduction. Currently, we have three occupational therapists who support each other in daily work. Personal Qualities You are positive, flexible, and take initiative. You are a good team player and enjoy collaborating with colleagues. You have good interpersonal skills and multicultural competence. Personal suitability is given considerable weight.
