The Skellefteå local care area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care. The Medical and Geriatric Clinic is part of the Skellefteå local care area and is one of Skellefteå Hospital's largest clinics with approximately 300 employees. The operation consists of both outpatient and inpatient care with broad scope and many different specialist areas. The clinic's beds are distributed according to medical and geriatric focuses. The majority of admissions are acute and occur via the emergency department. Outpatient services consist of medical, geriatric, and dialysis clinics. The medical clinic also includes day care services and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also includes a Research Unit, which is unique for a county hospital. We are now seeking two nurses with a combination of inpatient ward 75% and hematology/lymphoma team 25%. The Hematology/Lymphoma Team performs investigations, treatments, and follow-ups of patients with hematological and lymphoma diseases. You will be part of a work group with experience and expertise in the field in a stimulating and educational work environment. 2 position(s). DUTIES As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. Within the Hematology/Lymphoma Team, you will meet patients with various hematological and lymphoma diseases. You will encounter patients in the acute phase of their illness as well as patients who are followed over time. As a nurse, you perform tasks such as chemotherapy treatment and immunological treatment. Another important part of the work is supportive treatment such as transfusions, injection treatment, management of central lines, and blood sampling. Assistance at physician consultations is also part of your duties. Patient follow-ups can be both in-person contacts and by telephone. Your work includes the ability to make independent assessments based on test results and the patient's condition. In your role as a nurse on the inpatient ward, you are an important part of close teamwork. Together with other professional categories, you work from a holistic perspective with the patient in focus. The work offers great variety in terms of content and pace. As a nurse, you ensure patients' medical and specific care needs. Based on this, you plan and prioritize the measures to be implemented. In your role as a nurse, you need the ability to lead and motivate your colleagues to create a good work environment that ensures patients receive quality care. Orientation on both the hematology/lymphoma team and the inpatient ward is planned individually based on prior experience. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking you as a licensed nurse. Experience and prior work with hematological and lymphoma diseases, on a medical inpatient ward, or in other acute care is meritorious. You have a good ability to collaborate in teams consisting of different professional categories, have a good ability to work independently, and are accustomed to organizing and structuring your time and work tasks. As a person, you thrive with varying work tasks that include both patient contact and technical work. Together, these will work toward providing good and accessible care. Approximately 70 employees work at the Emergency Department in Skellefteå. We are open 24 hours a day, year-round, and receive acutely ill and injured patients who need care. This means we work around the clock on both weekdays and weekends. The number of patients per year is approximately 32,000 visits. We are in an exciting planning phase for a completely new emergency department.
