Within the Health and Medical Care Administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are brought together in a common administration and organized into regional and local healthcare areas.
The local healthcare area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, Center for Operating Activities, and Primary Care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these will work toward providing good and accessible care.
Approximately 70 employees work at the Emergency Department in Skellefteå. We are open 24 hours a day, year-round, and receive acutely ill and injured patients who need care. This means we work around the clock on both weekdays and weekends. The number of patients per year is approximately 32,000 visits. We are in an exciting planning phase for a completely new emergency department.

WORK TASKS
As an employee at the Emergency Department, you constantly meet new patients with all types of ailments and injuries. It is stimulating work that requires good cooperation as well as professional conduct between colleagues, professionals, and other clinics.
As a nurse at the Emergency Department, you are part of a multidisciplinary team that together meets patients' care needs. In our daily work, the focus is on acute interventions and we are prepared to respond to acute events in society with broad expertise. Patient care and treatment are based on individual needs and take place through effective teamwork.
At the Emergency Department, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries work together with doctors from various clinics. Teamwork is an important tool for creating value-based encounters in healthcare between patients and care staff. We collaborate with all departments and clinics at the hospital in daily work, so collaboration skills and holistic thinking are important. The patient is at the center of our operations and we emphasize the importance of the region's established values. The substitute position involves shift work around the clock (including night shifts) and we work in a scheduling model.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You have worked in clinical care as a nurse and want to continue developing in your professional role with us at the Emergency Department. We see that you have a high sense of service and responsibility, with a positive attitude toward your work. Patient focus and a holistic view of people characterize your working approach.
You should be confident in both your medical and nursing care actions. You have a good ability to work independently but enjoy being part of a team and can relate to your colleagues in a responsive manner. We would like to see that you have experience managing your own areas of responsibility within the profession's scope. Clinical experience that the employer deems valuable for the operation, as well as further education in emergency care, are meriting.
