We are now seeking an Automation Engineer for an exciting assignment where you'll work with advanced automation solutions in power systems, industrial networks, and critical facilities. Here you'll have the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire project cycle, from design and development to installation, testing, and commissioning.
About the Role
In your role as an Automation Engineer, you'll have significant technical responsibility and work closely with project managers, customers, and other technical specialists to ensure that solutions meet high quality standards and are delivered according to customer requirements.
You'll work with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems in combination with modern power and automation equipment. Projects vary in size and complexity, ranging from smaller installations to larger deliveries within data centers, substations, and power distribution facilities.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Taking responsibility for the technical aspects of automation projects from start to completion
Programming and commissioning PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Configuring and commissioning industrial networks, gateways, and communication solutions
Installing, configuring, testing, and commissioning customer equipment
Working with substations, protective relays, measurement equipment, UPS systems, and backup power solutions
Performing work at customer sites in mission-critical environments
Collaborating with customers to understand needs and translate them into effective technical solutions
Ensuring high quality throughout the project lifecycle
In this role, you'll combine practical engineering work with technical problem-solving and customer-focused collaboration.
About You
You have relevant education in power systems, automation, mechatronics, computer science, IT, or equivalent
You have experience with PLC programming
You have worked with HMI and SCADA systems
You have knowledge of power distribution and industrial automation solutions
You are comfortable with technical troubleshooting and commissioning
You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English
It's a plus if you also have:
Experience with industrial Ethernet networks
Knowledge of Modbus or Modbus TCP
Experience with IEC 61850
Experience with IEC 60870-5-104
Experience with DNP3
Experience with substations and protective relays
Experience with UPS and backup power systems
Experience working in data center or energy environments
