Entrecon Consulting Seeks Project Engineer - Civil and Construction
Are you a communicative person with previous experience being a key connector in civil and construction projects? Entrecon Consulting has several inquiries from our customers for senior and experienced project engineers/construction engineers in civil and construction. We accept applications on an ongoing basis and match them with requests from our customers and clients. You will be employed by Entrecon Consulting and work on assignments at the customer's location. The Assignment In the role of Project Engineer/Construction Engineer, you are a key person in projects and contribute to ensuring smooth production alongside the project manager and site manager as well as support functions. You will work broadly and are responsible for, among other things, production planning, project economics, and contract administration. You will also participate in procurement, attend construction meetings, and have contact with the client's representatives and handle financial settlements with the client and subcontractors. You negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, manage procurements, develop cost estimates, and are responsible for contract documentation. In some cases, change management tasks are also included. Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least three years of documented experience in a similar role with experience in: Forecasting and budgeting Project economics, schedules Resource allocation, procurement, and change order handling Change management work You have post-secondary education in construction or have acquired these skills through work experience. We accept applications on a rolling basis and match them with requests from our clients and project owners. You will be employed by Entrecon Consulting and work on assignment at the client's site. The Assignment In your role as construction engineer, you are a key person in projects and contribute to keeping everything running smoothly in production together with the project manager and site manager, as well as support functions. You will work broadly and be responsible for production planning, project economics, and contract administration. You will also participate in procurement, attend construction meetings, and have contact with the client's representatives, and handle financial settlements with clients and subcontractors. As a construction engineer, you participate in all stages of the client's building or construction project, from the planning stage until the project is technically completed. You negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, manage procurement, prepare cost estimates, and are responsible for contract documentation. KMA issues may also be part of your tasks. Competence We are looking for someone with at least three years of documented experience in a similar role with experience in: · Forecasting and costing · Project economics, schedules, work planning · Resource allocation, procurement, and change orders · KMA You have post-secondary education in construction or have acquired this knowledge through professional experience. We also see that you have good knowledge of construction law and technical expertise, negotiation experience, and are accustomed to working with profitability and business considerations in focus. Other competencies we value are your ability to build relationships and networks, and that you easily adapt to changing circumstances.
