As a Development Strategist for Public Health, Safety and Social Sustainability, you will have an important role in the municipality's long-term efforts to strengthen residents' health, living conditions and safety. You work strategically and coordinatively with, among other things, public health, mental health, suicide prevention, ANDTS and crime prevention work. Through collaboration, development and evidence-based initiatives, you contribute to advancing the municipality's preventive and health-promoting work. The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with the municipality's operations and external stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to drive development, create structure and contribute to advancing the municipality's work in public health, safety and social sustainability. Responsibilities As a Development Strategist, you will coordinate the municipality's work within public health, mental health, suicide prevention and social sustainability. You are also responsible for the municipality's work in ANDTS prevention and coordinate and develop crime prevention and safety-creating work in accordance with applicable legislation. The role includes developing, implementing and following up strategies, action plans, guidelines and governing documents. You lead development projects and processes, conduct mappings, analyses and environmental monitoring, and follow up on the municipality's work through statistics, indicators and operational results. You coordinate cross-municipal working groups, networks and collaboration forums and maintain contact with, among others, Region Värmland, the Police Authority, civil society, the business community and the municipality's operations. You support managers and operations in preventive and health-promoting work and plan and conduct training and information initiatives. The role also includes responsibility for applications, reporting and follow-ups related to government grants and development funds, as well as preparing decision-making documents and presenting matters for municipal management and political bodies. Qualifications We are looking for someone with relevant higher education or university education in, for example, public health science, social science, political science, social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in strategic development work, project or process management and are accustomed to coordinating and driving matters together with various stakeholders. You have good analytical skills and can translate knowledge and documents into concrete initiatives and decision-making materials. Experience working in public health, social sustainability, safety, ANDTS or crime prevention work is advantageous. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
