Our facility in Karlskoga specializes in manufacturing and packaging semi-solid and liquid products. The Karlskoga site offers a broad range of services, including terminal sterilization and WFI production. The facility also has specialized infrastructure designed to meet the high requirements for manufacturing controlled pharmaceuticals, ophthalmic solutions, and sterile semi-solid preparations. About the Role As a laboratory engineer, you'll become an important part of our analytical quality control team. The position involves broad and independent work where you participate in planning, performing, and prioritizing microbiological analyses. The role also includes reporting and reviewing analysis results as well as working with production hygiene, including planning and conducting production hygiene analyses. Further, the position encompasses: Issuing and investigating deviations Ordering laboratory materials Developing and updating SOPs/analysis methods Instrument responsibility Issuing and compiling analysis and laboratory reports Working on projects related to microbiological operations We're Looking for You If You: Are positive, responsible, and collaborate easily Have higher education in microbiology, molecular biology, biomedicine, or BMA Have experience working in a microbiological laboratory, including aseptic work, filtration, agar plate casting, and handling of sterile and non-sterile processes according to GMP Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Welcome to become part of our team – where your expertise makes a difference! About the position: We offer a versatile and challenging role where you will be a key person in our microbiology laboratory. The role demands solid experience in dynamic leadership, where you have successfully led operations with both strategic and operational dimensions. You will have personnel and workplace responsibility for a team consisting of laboratory engineers in microbiology and packaging materials, as well as a production hygienist. Your main responsibilities will include: Leading, developing, and coaching subordinate staff in a complex and dynamic environment. Driving and coordinating operations within microbiology and production hygiene, including project management and participation in cross-functional projects, such as implementing new products and process equipment. Training and developing staff in production hygiene and microbiology. Ensuring quality and regulatory compliance through responsibility for processes such as sterilization, and participating in internal and external inspections. Supporting the organization in quality and improvement work, including deviation management, investigations, validations, and change requests. Your profile: We are looking for someone with documented experience in dynamic leadership, where you have successfully combined strategic responsibility with operational presence. You are driven to develop both people and operations and thrive in a role where you alternate between leadership and hands-on work. You also have: Academic education with in-depth knowledge of microbiology. Documented experience in dynamic leadership. Very good knowledge of Swedish and English. Experience with microbiological analysis (advantageous within pharmaceutical manufacturing). Experience working in risk-based operations (advantageous).
