Ålsta Preschool and Elementary School is located in the expanding Barkarbystaden area. At the beginning of the 2023/24 school year, we moved into our newly built preschool/school. The preschool has existed since 2013 and has 195 children divided into 5 groups. Each group has a younger children's section and an older children's section that work together. The school section started in fall 2020 and has been developed gradually and is now a Grades F-6 school. The preschool and school share facilities and collaborate with the goal of creating continuity from 1-year-olds to middle school students. Our preschool/school has an on-site kitchen with a cook. We have close leadership from a principal and assistant principal who work together with the pedagogues toward ambitious goals with a clear vision. 4 position(s). WORK DUTIES We are seeking substitutes for hourly part-time employment. As a substitute at our preschool, you will be contacted to work when needed, filling in for regular staff during illness and leave. Additionally, there may be needs during extended leave periods or to strengthen child groups. Your assignment involves meeting all children with respect for their individuality and providing each child with the conditions to develop trust and confidence. All who work in the preschool must show respect for the individual and contribute to creating a democratic climate. You must collaborate with families and build trusting relationships with both parents and colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. - We would like you to have experience from similar work. - You should be flexible, take initiative, and have a talent for collaborating and working well with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and smooth manner, communicating and handling conflicts constructively. - You adapt easily to changing circumstances. DUTIES As a childcare assistant at Lundskolan, you will work in preschool class, after-school care, and youth club, and will substitute for regular staff during their absence. The unit's needs will determine how much work you will receive, and we cannot guarantee you work every day. Needs exist primarily during ongoing school terms. You should live within a reasonable distance from Järfälla to be able to get to the workplaces in a reasonable time. The operations should be safe, stimulating, and educational for all children. As a substitute, you will primarily be supervised by responsible educators at the after-school care/club. In collaboration with the work team, you will carry out pedagogical activities with a focus on safety and work peace. QUALIFICATIONS You should enjoy working with different age groups. You should work well with different colleagues and have good social skills. The after-school care is open Monday-Friday between 06:30-17:30, and we are looking for someone who can work during these hours. You must be able to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. JOB DUTIES As a childcare worker, you will work in preschool, preschool class, after-school care, youth club, and adapted primary school, replacing regular staff during their absence. The needs of the units completely determine how much work you will receive, and we therefore cannot guarantee you work every day. Since our operations are mostly closed during the summer, we primarily need staff during the school terms. You should live within a reasonable distance from Järfälla to be able to get to the workplaces within reasonable time. We use the IT system TimePool where you enter the times you want to work, which are then matched against the units' needs. This means you must have access to the internet and a mobile phone for us to be able to offer you work. The activities should be fun, safe, and educational for all children. As a childcare worker, you work to create a safe and secure environment that encourages children to play and learn. In collaboration with the work team, you implement pedagogical activities. You work with all routine situations, such as meals, children's daily hygiene, dressing/undressing, educational play, cleaning, etc. QUALIFICATIONS First and foremost, we are looking for you who have childcare worker training. If you also have previous experience working with children, we see that as a merit. You must enjoy and see it as a challenge to work at new workplaces and collaborate with new colleagues. Since the position requires the ability to quickly contribute to good work performance, you must be able to work independently and have the ability to take own initiatives. The work requires good social skills and the ability to enjoy working outdoors part of the day. The position requires a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 (Sva 1). If you cannot attach such a grade in your application, you may instead be required to take a language test as part of the initial screening in the recruitment process. Since our employees work Monday-Friday on schedule with working hours between 06:30-17:30, we are looking for you who can work during these times. You must be able to work at least ten days per month. If you work fewer than five days per month, we will terminate your employment. You must also be able to work on Mondays. The position starts immediately. Please note that most schools and preschools are closed during the summer months, which means we unfortunately cannot guarantee work during the summer.
