The position is placed within the Children and Education Administration. We conduct statutory activities in the form of preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and student welfare services. Within the administration's area of responsibility, there is also a music school, recreation center activities, open preschool, and the municipality's catering unit. The administration works on behalf of the Children and Education Board. The Chill Recreation Center in Gnesta is characterized by well-being and safety, and strong commitment from the staff. The center is open five days a week and has on average approximately 40 visitors per day. In addition to operating at the recreation center, recreation leaders sometimes work in other parts of the community to conduct recreation activities there. JOB DUTIES We are now seeking a recreation leader who enjoys working with youth and focuses on children and young people's participation. You are resourceful and empathetic. You find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and build good relationships with children and young people. You feel comfortable following the rules of the recreation center. It is a requirement that you can work evenings and most Saturday evenings. Work on Saturday evenings occurs between 4:45 PM–10:15 PM. You also participate in team meetings and planning on Wednesdays. QUALIFICATIONS We prioritize those with relevant education, i.e., Recreation Leader training or equivalent. Work experience working with youth is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you engage in any recreation activity or have practical/aesthetic professional skills that we see could be useful in your work. You want to continue learning and are open to new work methods, and you find it easy to collaborate with colleagues. You work for visitor participation and influence on the activities. You are responsible and organized, experienced in working toward goals, and experienced in thinking solution-oriented and understand the value of managing a budget. A driver's license (B-level) is meritorious. Employment Type: Permanent employment. Duration: Start date 2026-10-01.
