As a school nurse at Älvdalens Utbildningscentrum, you will be a central part of the school's student health team. You will work closely with school management, school counselor, special educator, and other professionals within student health. Together, we work toward a safe, inclusive, and health-promoting school environment where student well-being and learning are at the center. The role involves independent responsibility, but also close collaboration with colleagues and school management. The assignment also includes the role of Medical Manager (MLA). This means you have overall responsibility for quality, patient safety, and procedures within student health's medical services. You will receive support from school management and work in close dialogue with relevant functions to develop a safe and equitable medical student health service. Your Work Tasks In your role as school nurse, you will, among other things: Conduct health conversations, health assessments, and standard medical interventions within student health responsibilities Identify students in need of support, make medical assessments, and when necessary refer or request further evaluation Organize and coordinate school doctor services Document in the school's digital record system, Prorenata Contribute medical expertise to the student health team's joint work Collaborate with students, guardians, school staff, healthcare, and other external stakeholders Participate in the school's preventive and health-promoting work In your role as MLA, your tasks include: Ensure that medical student health is conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines Lead and monitor work on quality and patient safety within student health's medical services Develop, update, and anchor routines and processes Provide support on medical matters and contribute to equitable and safe student health Follow developments in the field and help develop the operation based on current knowledge We Are Looking for You You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a district nurse or specialist training in healthcare for children and young people. In a small team, we work together baking pies, pastries, and other products. Our products are found in the finest ICA and COOP stores throughout Sweden, displayed in the most exclusive location in the entire store – the delicatessen section. For the past seven years, we've had our production in Älvdalen, but we've existed under different names in the grocery market for over 30 years. Education or experience in baking, restaurant work, or production kitchens is of course a merit, though as a company we will train you in our specific routines and production processes. Work takes place Monday to Friday and amounts to approximately 36 hours per week (on Fridays we pack what we produced on Thursday, so that's a half day.)
