You will work in one or several of the committees where our parliamentarians are members. This includes the committees on equality, industry, foreign affairs, budgetary control, and climate, as well as the committee on the internal market. There you will work closely with Jonas Sjöstedt and Hanna Gedin in their committee work. You will also be part of all other tasks at the office. Job responsibilities: · Prepare materials, follow legislative processes, and develop political proposals. · Analyze and monitor political developments. · Participate in and prepare meetings with other left parties within the European left. · Write talking points, articles, and other texts for the parliamentarians. · Work with communication initiatives in close cooperation with the press secretary – especially in digital channels and social media. · Actively participate in the office's joint planning and other tasks as needed. We are looking for someone who has: · Relevant academic education. · Very good knowledge of politics · Experience working with EU issues or in a politically directed organization. · Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. · Good collaboration skills but also the ability to work independently. · Ability to handle occasional high pace and work towards deadlines. Meritorious: · Education or experience in EU law or economics. · Knowledge of the Left Party's politics and ideology. · Experience with international work or studies. · Knowledge of other EU languages. Practical information: The position is located at the Left Party's EU office in Brussels. The work involves travel to Strasbourg during the parliament's session weeks and irregular working hours.
