The Saltvik Operations Area comprises the prisons Saltvik, Härnösand, and Ljustadalen, as well as the remand facility Saltvik. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service provides certain open healthcare services, which means all prisons and remand facilities have healthcare clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, the clinics have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you also assess which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both somatic and psychiatric healthcare for inmates, assist at doctor's clinics, and administer medications, primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation currently takes place in the PMO patient record system. We are also in a transition phase to the new operations system CGMJ4. As a nurse at VO Saltvik, you will be employed within the entire operations area. This means that when needed, you may support your colleagues at all facilities where your expertise is most needed.
