Duties and Responsibilities The role includes the following tasks: Providing qualified support to users at the NMR Center, including project planning. Training new users on instrument operation. Developing pulse sequences and implementing new experimental methods. Performing experiments. Responsibility for daily operations and maintenance of hardware and software. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a data engineer, your responsibilities will include: • Designing and implementing scalable and robust solutions for data flows (ETL/ELT - extraction, transformation, and loading of data). • Building data models and transformations. • Monitoring and troubleshooting data flows. • Optimizing our data flows and transformations. • Supporting stakeholders with data exploration to capture relevant requirements. • Collaborating with system owners, product owners, architects, Data Scientists, and other relevant roles. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a strong combination of specialist competence and personal qualities that make you a senior data engineer. Therefore, we see the following qualifications as requirements: • At least 3 years of experience working on data warehouse/data lake projects designing and implementing ETL flows for integration, transformation, and consolidation of data. • Excellent knowledge of SQL and development in Microsoft SQL databases (T-SQL). • Good skills in development using Python, Databricks, and Pyspark. • Good skills in solving tasks such as data deduplication, late-arriving data, slowly changing dimensions, missing data, and data reloads. • Good understanding of data modeling in data warehouses. • Good understanding of performance considerations and opportunities for performance optimization. • Good ability to describe and document solutions. • Relevant post-secondary education, or alternatively other education or experience that we consider equivalent. • Good knowledge of Swedish.
