As a firefighter on standby with us, you will work preventatively to reduce damage and accidents, and you will contribute to a safer and better everyday life for our citizens. Should an accident occur, you will be part of the response team. Work Tasks You will normally be on standby as a firefighter every fourth week, though standby times can vary. During standby, you are ready to immediately proceed to the fire station when an alarm sounds to join the response team. You have a five-minute response time. The position includes all typical firefighting tasks, including driving emergency vehicles, participating in rescue operations, and training exercises.
